Repair Notice (Parts Pairing Warning)
Once a screen or battery replacement has taken place on this model, you will receive a persistent warning message on your phone for 4 days on the locked screen (which you can close) and a further 15 days under settings section. This warning will tell you that Apple have been unable to verify that the parts used are genuine Apple parts. Mac Genie Computers uses Genuine (OEM) parts or you have the option to select after market parts on request. However, due to Apple not allowing third party repair shops to have access to their verification software to turn this off, the warning will persist. Even if you swap a genuine Apple screen from one phone to another this message will appear, which makes the wording of it very misleading. To avoid the warning, you have to have to pay Apple to carry out the repair. The warning does not affect operation of phone it is just a marketing stunt by Apple to scare monger the users into only bringing the devices to Apple for repair.
